Julia Gillard

“My time in politics taught me that delivering enduring and profound reform requires a combination of leadership, policy innovation and negotiation. Getting the big things done actually requires putting the political cudgels down and truly listening to each other in order to find out what everyone’s bottom lines are and how a consensus can be achieved. My greatest joy in politics came from doing just that in order to find a pathway that brought big reform to life. I am strongly motivated to play a role in achieving the same kind of results for today’s hard disputes.”
